Remember Christmas mornings when you were a kid? You'd wake up full of anticipation, knowing something wonderful was going to happen. That's how I was this morning. Today's the first day of Shimelle's online class, "Learn Something New Every Day," and I woke up excited, knowing that there would be an e-mail signifying that the class had finally begun.
Now it its fourth year, this online class encourages you to observe the world around you and learn from your daily experiences and surroundings. Participants are designing a small format album with thirty daily entries, documenting all the things we learn about the world and ourselves during the month of September.
Since we're supposed to be learning something new, I've put away Photoshop in favor of paper, glue, and ink. And, I've abandoned by normal color palette of golds and reds in order to experiment with fun pinks, yellows, greens and oranges. So far, I'm having a blast. Here's the cover, using papers from Sassafras.
