My husband and I finally took our dream vacation to Alaska, and it was everything we hoped it would be. We saw Mt. McKinley. We saw whales, dolphins, sea lions, and eagles. We ate way too much. We cruised by glaciers, and drove into the Yukon. It was all amazing.
We shot well over 2,000 photos, so expect to see a lot of mountains and icebergs in my work in the next few months.
As much as I enjoyed our travels, it's good to be home again. I missed my family; I missed my mattress; and I missed my art. So I was excited to see that we have two new challenges at Digital Art Quirks.
For this week's Stock Photo Challenge, you're challenged to create a piece of art using this stock.xchng background by Hilde Vanstraelen.
Our second challenge is a very special one. This week, we celebrate our 100th Quirkle Challenge. The Quirkle Challenge was the brainstorm of the talented and witty Nevermore. She suggested that we have a challenge where we'd take turns listing three things to include in one art project. It's our most popular challenge, and one that we all look forward to. This week, the challenge is to include 1) The Flood, 2) some flowers, and 3) some musical elements.
I hope you get a chance to come by, and play with us. I look forward to seeing what you create.
