Of Wings and Things

It's a sickness, this need of mine to put wings on things. But I just can't help it. Show me a vintage photo of a cherubic child, and off I go...

This one was for Scrapbookgraphics' Altered Artspiration challenge. I had no idea she was going to turn out so all-American when I started.

Then there's this one of my sweet daughter journeying Over the Rainbow. I was inspired by Tumble Fish Studio's whimsical children.

The Sincerest Form of Flattery

I love art museums, not just for the art, but for the people watching. And it never fails, I'll always come across an artist-in-training, with sketchbook or paints in hand, copying the work of the great masters. Well, that's what I consider myself, an artist-in-training, so I do the same thing, only digitally.

Here are some recent works where I did just that. First up is my Magritte piece. How can you not love his stuffy men in the ridiculous situations in which they find themselves?

Hieronymous Bosch was the original quirky artist. The exterior panels of his "The Garden of Earthly Delight" from 1504 inspired me to try my hand at my own world in a globe.
