I've been away from this blog for some time, not because I've given up on genealogy, but because my mother, Mildred Frances Alcorn Bunch, passed away in September. She's the one who taught me to love family, to love genealogy, to cherish the community in which I live. For awhile, looking at family stories and pictures was a painful process, and so blogging was put on hold. But I'm now at a point that I can once again see genealogy as a celebration of those I've loved.
