I recently heard from Lyn S. who has been researching the family of David Alcorn, 1827-1903. David married Lyn's great-grandmother's sister Louisa Englis in 1862 in Cass County, Illinois. According to the 1880 and 1900 census, David Alcorn's father was born in Scotland and his mother in Ireland.
